Sustainably wild harvested Polmaria mollis from the coastal islands of British Columbia. Pacific dulse tastes like bacon if it’s cooked right! As a dry snack it has a soft chewy texture with a natural smokey flavour.
Very similar to Irish Sea Moss, Pacific dulse has been used in traditional dishes around the world by a variety of cultures due to its versatility. It can be pan fried quickly into chips, baked in the oven covered with cheese and salsa, or simply used in soups, chowders, sandwiches, salads, or even added to bread or pizza dough.
Just like in mushrooms, you can find beta-glucans 1,3/1,6 in all of Seaflora’s seaweeds. Soluble fibre moves slowly through the digestive track, taking cholesterol with it as it goes. High in protein, minerals, vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants.
